Drama, with a hint of sci-fi.

Hans Strasser has spent the past sixty years in total isolation -- a self-imposed exile from society -- hidden within a secret forest sanctuary.  Severely deformed and yet immensely brilliant, Strasser has spent decades studying alchemy and necromancy... in the hope of one day contacting a man long since dead, that the man may keep a promise long since broken.

When unexpectedly befriended by a young girl, Tess, Strasser becomes fascinated with the advances of mankind.  Walking on the Moon, the curing of disease, the internet... and cloning.
Over the next twenty years, their friendship deepens... yet Strasser has no idea that Tess is falling in love.  Just as Tess has no idea that Strasser is attempting to clone the dead body he’s been keeping within a large wooden box since... well, forever.

I came up with the idea for “Tess” back in 1986 -- sat on it for decades before figuring out exactly how I wanted to tell the story -- finally scripting it in 2015.  And truth be told, it’s excellent.  Strong characters, genuinely emotional yet not remotely sappy, and with a twist ending right up there with “The Usual Suspects” and “The Sixth Sense.”

They say, “there are no new ideas” and that “everything has been done.”  Not true.  “Tess” is my forth script that is 100% unlike anything done before.

Then again, I’ve also written three “Die Hard” rip-offs...  =)
