James is a loving husband and father.  A few minutes after leaving for work, he gets a frantic call from his wife -- “James, they’re in the house!  911 won’t answer!  Oh, my God, help --” and the line goes dead.  James turns the car around and speeds toward home, attempting to call 911 but the line is dead -- and he crashes and dies.

And while all Hell suddenly breaks out -- Zombie Apocalypse, people running and screaming and dying -- James stumbles off along the road, vaguely remembering that he has to get home.  He forgets now and again, attacking a random fleeing person -- however the glimpse of a wedding ring or a family photo reminds him, and he continues home, ultimately arriving just in time to save his infant son.
